About Teresa Rimer

Teresa Webb Rimer, a nurse by trade and mother by nature, for many years did not embrace the innate talent and artistry that eventually inspired Under the Porch. Born of the grief of her father's death, the stories of her grandparents "poured out of her" in what has become not only an astonishing accomplishment for a junior writer, but a tale of incredible tragedy, resilience, love and endurance that continues to awe the readers fortunate enough to come to know its characters. Bill and Flora Boyd inspire upon the reader the comfort in knowing that despite the hardships of life, the strength of love can overcome all.

A native of Arkansas, Teresa Webb Rimer spent most of her childhood in Missouri before settling in Tennessee to pursue her nursing career. She has since lived in Chattanooga with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, and perfecting her grandmother's pickling recipe.
